  Faded / fading or ex-JW fine by me, as long as she is mentally out and conscious and won't go back.

  A non JW for me at the moment would sign my JW demise and get me DF's so I am not ready for that scenario quite yet.

  i need the formality of a disassociation letter to my old cong.

  Agreed, short and to the point is fine, or you can go hell for leather and write a 15 page dissertation on the evils of being a JW, ... it's your choice.

  Key points:

  Letter must be dated

  Letter must be signed by you and be clearly stated as from you

  Letter must state that you no longer wish to be known as a Jehovahs Witness (if it's a long rant, then get these points on the top of the 1st page, rant can follow)

  Send it signed for delivery method, or hand deliver it to an Elder in your old cong. After reciept of it they may well get in touch with you just to confirm these ARE in fact YOUR wishes. This is fair tbh as unless you hand deliver it person they need confirmation that you actually wrote it and sent it (instead of an unbeliving parent for example).

  On a side note... Why can't you DISCUSS this situation and the guilt and fear and manipulation your mother is doing to you, .. with your mother? If you can do this and likely it will need to be more than once as she will regress, then you may find she can clam down and gradually accept where you are in your life. Tricky I know.

  Please DON'T. Don't bother wasting your time. I DID actually read what you just said, because I wanted to see if you actually had ANYTHING to say, or anything to add. Guess what? ....You don't.

  Explain Daniel 2:1

  Explain which Babylonian kings reign(s) you are going stretch the 20 years to fit your chronology, AND provide the proof.

  Proof will consist of documentary evidence from sources OTHER than yourself and your amazing maths skills (537 - 607 = 70 years). Sources must be authorities in the field, not other anonymous internet posters.

  If you can provide such outside verification of your claims THEN come back and let us know your findings.

  If you're just going to copy and paste and repeat yourself without such proof then PLEASE don't bother.

  i dont understand all the fuss about 607 b.c.e.

  there is exactly the same amount and type of reliable and factual historical evidence that jerusalem fell to the babylonians in 607 b.c.e.

  as there is to support the theory that a man named jesus christ lived at the beginning of the first century c.e.. a few million jehovahs witnesses believe the former but they are joined by tens of millions more who believe the latter.. just a thought.. link.

  Living forever is bullshit. It's just hyperbole just like a lot of the rest of the "prophecies" to make a point.

  We are not designed to live forever at least physically however much our minds may wish otherwise. How long do our adult teeth last even if looked after? Do we grow a new set ever in our lives? No we don't. So to suppose they will last 1000s of years is rather optimistic.

  Oh yeah, i forgot about eternal yooof didn't I. Young people have tooth decay too you know....
